There is a beautiful new store in Bangalow, in northern NSW called Our Corner Store. Inspired by the traditional corner store it has a little bit of everything and values good old fashion service. Owners Aneka and Miranda have a beauitful aesthetic, each item is carefully selected to fit into a natural, organic style. “We are passionate about the home and celebration, and sell goods that make living simply better and more beautiful – wire storage and hooks, brass hardware, hemp rugs, jute baskets, canvas camping accessories and stationery.”
I interviewed Aneka and Miranda about their new venture for Country Style, you can read the full interview here. Thank you Aneka and Miranda for sharing your gorgeous space with us! And a big thank you to Natalie McComas for the stunning photographs, and Annique Rousseau for the beautiful styling.
We love this shop! So inspiring.

If you had of done your homework on this story you would have found that these disgusting women stole this concept store idea from a close friend of theirs. Their close friend had been establishing this concept over two years and these vile creatures took the idea and her suppliers and opened their own store against their friends wishes. Suffice to say the ex close friend is now commencing legal action. Very disappointing that you did not look behind the facade and hilarious they mention relationships as being important! Who knows you may even be required to print a retraction of this article.

I see you have chosen not to post the truth in relation to your article on these disgusting individuals. Gives a clear indication of the quality of your editorial

Hi Mary-Bangalow, please make note in future that my blog does not welcome bullying. I write and edit my blog as I wish, it’s a public space for like-minded people to read and enjoy the posts and people I choose to feature. I have allowed your comment to be published so that I may reply to it publicly, but if you continue to write remarks that are aggressive in tone like this then I will not publish them and that is my right. As for the content and reason for your comment: there will always be subjects and people featured on my blog that someone, somewhere, may not like. I’m sorry to hear that you feel your friend has been badly treated by Aneka and Miranda. Although I do not know anything about your friend or the work she has done on her store concept, I do know that this type of store exists elsewhere – in Australia and oversea – it is not unique, though I think Aneka and Miranda have done a lovely job executing it. Please do not take this reply as an open invitation to continue this conversation, I do not have the time and will not spare the time to continue it publicly or privately.

i adore this little piece of heaven situated in Bungalow. It is always a treat to go there, and explore the stores lush arrangement of goodies and delicious pieces of eye candy. Every time i go home with a beautiful piece to add to my collections. I thank Aneka and Miranda for their beautiful eye in homewares, fashion, nick nacks and more. I also thank them for the service they give out overtime i go into the store. They are now friends to me, not store owners.
