You may have noticed it’s been another busy couple of weeks for me, and tonight I am back to Paris for the coming few days for work. If you are dying to know what I am up to I promise all will be revealed very soon! I will try to post a photo a day like I did last time, and I also hope to capture a couple of soundscapes for you while there, and will post them next week. à bientot! xx

very excited about this new servingware range

I get excited about things that may seem rather unexciting to others. Like this new servingware range from Wheel & Barrow Homewares that has me smiling…

Why, you may ask? Well, there is just one simple reason:

This new range is made from the fabulously renewable natural material of bamboo and degrades within a year of it being tossed away, making it pollution-less. Yep, this is all it takes for me to get very, very excited.

Wheel & Barrow has been one of my favourite stores for sourcing servingware while I’ve been styling in Sydney over the last few years. So I’m thrilled to hear they have this new range on their shelves. Bravo Wheel & Barrow!

I am completely smitten with these handmade pocket fairy tales created by the new etsy boutique of Apol Lejano-Massebieau, crafter extraordinaire from la pomme

..featured above is the story book of Busy Mary from the imagined history collection of stories Apol has written after finding old notes and postcards…

..this one is called Rosenda “who pours two cups of coffee every morning – although one always grew cold – and at dinner she sets out two plates – although one always went back clean into the cupboard”…

..and this one is called Lulu Leloup Turns Blue. How gorgeous! Click here to have a read of all the fairy tales, and have a browse through Apol’s two stores, you will find so much inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by for this week’s installment of…

I could not bare to leave you with my two disastrous attempts at polaroid any longer so I offer you this – a little vignette of a few of my favourite props at the moment. They’re all French finds, and I love the colour of that café au lait cup, don’t you? I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! px

another one, just for the laugh…

You are forgiven if you have no idea what this is. It’s one of my bookshelves here on the boat, and that strange man’s face looming about is from the cover of a book of photographer Paul Strand’s work. And as Annie suggested in the comments on the previous polaroid: I shall not quit my day job. promise.

Have a fabulous weekend everybody!

P.S. Check out this incredible illustration piece on Corine’s blog.

P.P.S. Jools, who lives in Brisbane, Australia has been inspired by my soundscapes and wanders and has been posting her daily walks on her blog called passion pages, for the past week. Her walks are breathtaking – she lives in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia, go and take a look. And notice the footwear on a winter’s day – thongs! I can’t even wear my flip flops here and it’s summer.

P.P.P.S just when you thought I had run out of P.S’s… check out this fabulous photo Taryn sent me the other day – she is rockin’ with style, and it just goes to show that your wandering hearts can be found, and fashioned, in the most unlikely of places. Thanks Taryn!
