Last week or so you may have noticed that I featured the blog of the very beautiful 100% organic cotton children’s wear line called Periwinklebloom in the ‘blogs in the spotlight'(see sidebar). This week I’m delighted to share with you Periwinklebloom’s Autumn ’09 collection which has just launched. The concept behind this collection is about layering, and ‘kind’ design, with an introduction of ‘waste-not wares’ – making use of organic cotton and vintage scraps. The collection was shot in an antiques warehouse by photographer Greg Rannells, and I adore everything about it – not only the new designs but the styling, the location, the props and of course, the gorgeous models. Tyler, who is the creator of Periwinklebloom recently told me that she kept my book in mind as her muse for the shoot. Wowsers, what a compliment. I love how inspiration is a revolving, ever-evolving door…
So here is a sneak peek of Periwinklebloom’s Autumn ’09 collection but be sure to check out the full range right here. Each garment is 100% organic cotton, homegrown and hand-sewn in the United States.
Beautiful, non? Oh, I love it. Thank you, Periwinklebloom.
There was no time to watch the clouds roll by today. And no time to listen to the wind blow in the trees which is something I like to take a few seconds of every day to do. So where does the time go? I really would like to know. Perhaps time is gathered in the clouds above. And when it rains, if we stand outside and try to catch as many drops as we can, we get our time back. Wouldn’t that be sweet.
…is streaming through the kitchen windows, casting a creamy, golden light across the ceiling, and dark shadows throughout the interior. Dark shadows that hide the mess and mayhem that is my home at the moment. I had a lovely restful weekend which was almost entirely computer-free. It was a little bit wonderful.
And here are all the houseboat polaroids together. I hope you’ve enjoyed my polaroid week! And I know, I was going to tell you my polaroid story, but for some reason, I don’t feel like telling a story so much with words this week, just with images. Also, as my facebook buddies have known, I’ve been awfully sick the last few days with yet another flu. I have a looming deadline and this flu is the last thing I need to impede my progress. But these things happen for a reason no doubt, it made me take forced rest. I hope I’ll be better by next week as I’m going to try my hardest to rest the next two days as best I can.
Have a lovely lovely weekend mes chers amis, thanks for stopping by and leaving so many wonderful comments. See you Monday, hopefully as healthy and full of energy as ever.
xx
