Glad to see you’re back! Hope your break from all things bloggy has been great.
Lovely photos (as always) of those gorgeous magnolias! There are a couple of magnolia trees in my neighborhood too – their scent is so heady and delicious!
hi pia, hope you’re well, we’ve missed you =) i guess you’re busy with work and still adjusting. i really wish we had magnolia trees in norway… thank you for sharing the next best thing – images of magnolias. these shots are beautiful!
and Pia, you are forgetting that Sydney teases us for a while with some warmth and then she coldly whips us back into shape again… don’t put away your wooly tights! cioa
One of my favourite flowers. At one of my favourite gardens here, there’s a row of magnolia trees which, when in full bloom, look like they’re covered in snow from afar, especially when the blooms start dropping and cover the ground! BTW, Pia, I bought your book from Small Acorns in Wellington and was touched by it. I hope one day to be as brave as you were!
Hi Pia, I am so happy to see your emails. I can always find something to inspire me.
I love the magnolia blossoms. A few years ago I lost seven huge oaks in my front yard due to four hurricanes which hit us. So I planted a magnolia tree which did not bloom until I tied fake blossoms to it’s branches. Then suddenly the tree gifted me with it’s own lovely blooms. I think the tree has a spirit!
Sadly Jasmin is right …. but it was a nice little taste of things to come. My jasmine outside our front door is blooming beautifully … loving those magnolias too !!!
How lovely…they are! My husband went out with his electric saw and was madly pruning the bushes etc until I noticed….he’d chopped our lovely Magnolia tree without realising!
It’s slowly slowly recovering, thankfully.
beautiful. xo
