muted shades…
Posted in pia's photos, quiet spaces February 10th, 2011 by pia

There is so much sunshine & colour in this country, yet I can’t help but capture the more muted moments, the murky corners – is it that I’m used to being thrust into wintry darkness at this time of year?

Perhaps. It will take some getting used to, having all this sunshine to play with.

funny how these images are really ‘flamande’ in essence
(must be an affliction in your veins)
whilst i crave sunshine i still prefer the hues of shadow
    so love these images…

I’m always more drawn to muted colors too, maybe it’s indeed a Netherlands-grey-weather kind of thing 😉
Still, I would love to be there, in the sun, at the sea. Keep posting those pictures, for us at the other side of the world, only dreaming…

Oh, I love those flip flops! I used to have a pair like that and I wore them out and haven’t been able to find replacements. Did you get them anywhere I could possibly get ahold of them??

I was just thinking about this…I have always experienced the changes of seasons my whole life, what if I moved to where it was always warm, would my body feel cooler during those months that I would normally be cold?? I think this is why you are drawn to the muted corners of winter…beautiful photos. xo

Hi pia, just read that you moved to australia. How cool is that!! It probably means that we won’t be working again together, what a pity :-(. I have recently started my own blog, with photos and things that inspire me and hopefully others as well. Its in dutch but the photos don’t need words ;-). I wish you good luke over there.
