reader Judith’s report on the Paris: Made By Hand window display…
Posted in paris: made by hand August 27th, 2009 by pia

The other day I received an email from (blog)house reader Judith who so kindly, at my blog request, went to check on my cardboard eiffel tower in the window of WHSmith in Paris.

Here is Judith’s fab report:

“At last made it over to WH Smith on Sunday to check out your tower and pick up a copy of your book. The tower is doing just fine, standing tall and léger, with no signs of constructional weakness. All the little print-outs etc seem to be holding up too – no fading. The little table attracted a few browsers while I was there. The little pile on the table and the small stack on the shelf opposite are probably all that’s left (a dozen?).”

……………………………………….

I can rest easy now, knowing the tower is not leaning, that the print outs are still intact, and the books are selling well. I think there were over 40 copies to start with, so this is wonderful news. Thank you Judith!

This weekend will be the last weekend of the window display (how fast does a month go by these days?!), so if you are in Paris, please be sure to check it out before it is taken down.

Pia, guess I forgot to write you to let you know I did this a couple of weeks ago http://www.tarabradford.com/2009/08/pias-paris.html. I mentioned to the staff that in Amsterdam they were lined up in the street to get your book; I think they were disappointed they hadn’t been able to sort out a personal appearance for you – but thrilled at the success of your window display! xo
