stunning bed, photographed by Jared Fowler, represented by Contacts. First spotted on the beautiful brabourne farm. I would happily rest in this bed after writing on that desk I mentioned earlier

The song of Ibrahim Ferrer makes it all perfect (the waves too). All the songs of The Buena Vista Social Club are so relaxing. Did you know that Dos Gardenias is a love story? You must find the translation of it. It’s very funny, romantic and wise words.

Thanks Pia for bringing me in a relaxing mood after a busy day.

Ooh, love it. I am definitely a mountain-and-desert person when it comes to where I like to make my home, but I yearn for the beach about once a year. We used to rent one of those round thatch things up on stilts once a year in the VIs when I was a teen…snorkel and poke around in the sand for a couple of weeks, eat nothing but seafood and guava juice. Shower outdoors and keep salt in our hair. It was lovely!

btw, that last photo? that’s the one that really gets me in the gut in a design sense. Love that. It’s powerful and unconventional and a little bit stark, with an Asian bent to it. A dream space that belongs to no specific locale or era. LOVE it.

I love the dark rooms with the white sheets and white walls, there is something timeless about them and at the same time modern.

that Jaya Ibrahim bedroom with the tile designs on the floor made my heart pound. (such a perfect recipe of pics here.)

on a totally unrelated note, i had a dream about you last night (?!?!) i think maybe you were with french boy. i can’t remember anything about it, other than there was a clothes line hung up on a light blue wall with clouds painted on it (kind of like that island kitchen you posted!) and you were hanging photos with wood clips. i woke up thinking i better check pia’s blog! i must be picking up the pia vibes floating around out there…
