…from the vintage fashion collection of Boston’s thirteen eighty-five, beautifully captured by photographer Jeff Allen. Not only that, but at the recent Baked Fresh market, thirteen eighty-five’s creator Effie found a fabulous yellow tent on ebay to house her collection (and read what she says about what it was like to be under the tent on such a grey day! yet more proof that yellow is bound to brighten your spirits)
Some of her pieces are still available in the thirteen eighty-five etsy boutique, click here to have a look-see.
Hmm now we’ve featured homewares, art, fashion and even DIY in this yellow love week line up… so what’s missing?
she has beautiful clothes in her shop, love the birgundy dress and floral skirt 🙂

you are totally right emily! but I too forgot about the cupcakes. And I realise there could be heaps of things missing – travel, music (alas I did not compose a song called yellow, someone who has a daughter called apple, got to it before me).
Gracia – what a beautiful name you have! Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoy my blog.
Lynne – splashes of yellow are essential i agree!
Courtney – me too.
sofia – moi aussi! super collection.

Yes, I saw this photo shoot elsewhere and was struck particularly by the photo inside the “O”. That one pushes all my buttons.
You know, when I was younger I couldn’t properly appreciate winter, but these days I find so many things to love about this time suspened between fall and winter…one of those things is the particular quality of the light. It has a subtle yellow-gold to it that exists at no other time of year. It turns our painfully-brilliant Colorado skies to a Fragonard turquoise-blue that is only more intense for its brevity.
