pia’s polaroids: a place I find myself often…
Posted in music, pia's photos, the houseboat September 10th, 2009 by pia

…it soothes, it inspires, it speaks the feelings inside me that have no words. This is a something I have never taken for granted, and when I hear myself play I sometimes wonder where the music comes from, and how do I play? Sometimes I have no idea how my fingers seem to find the right notes at the right time. Music is pure magic, non?

You know, this is exactly how I feel when I play and I usually improvise. Its a window of my soul and I need it to let my feelings flow on to the keys!
It is a bit like meditating, ja?

Don’t tell me that in addition to your MANY amazing talents, you can ALSO play the piano… You are amazing, dear Pia.

Ann Marie – thank you. Yes this is posssibly the smallest home I’ve lived in but I was determined to fit in a piano and hey, there’s still plenty of room. Well, just.

Victoria – how wonderful that you feel the same. It is indeed when I improvise too. And yes, it’s certainly meditating.

Mary-Laure – merci beaucoup mais, I’m sure you’ve heard me playing before, non?

    trinsch – thank you.

Hi Pia, I came across to this piece of music and thought that you might enjoy it if you haven’t already http://www.take-a-piano-sheet-music-break.com/support-files/braga_c_angels_serenade_piano_beg.pdf
I like to play it slowly and softly.
