Hi Pia,
May everyone who reads your book be so touched they too will want to touch others lives with a touch of loveliness, let alone fill their hearts with the goodness that is all around us. Just one small lovely for another can make a chain of wonderful events happen and touch ones whose lives have never been touched in this way. Be encouraged in all you have shared.

Hi Pia,
Just found your blog via a blog post I’ve been doing for a segment on Mark and Sally Bailey and I was so pleased to have found you:) I love your books and your style – so similar to my own. I’m on the book writing venture myself, with a recycling flavour so you can imagine how excited I was to find Mark & Sally’s Recycled House book.
Just thought I’d say hi and let you know that your work is loved lots! Kind wishes Kim

Oh Pia, How lovely, allemaal!
I lived in Amsterdam for nine years, working as a freelance illustrator, and loved it so much, cycling along the canals in all weathers to get to my studio. Your photo’s bring back that same feeling for me. I moved to Devon in the UK , and live in the depths of the countryside, with my partner and daughter, teaching watercolours. For the first time in 16 months I shall be boarding a plane to come to Amsterdam for the weekend to stay with friends on the Prinsengracht, and I can’t wait.
Enjoy your baby, and enjoy Amsterdam. Both are truly magical!
With Love
Sarah Bell

Hi Pia, last Feb I read a blog from America reviewing your Made in Amsterdam which was the first thing I bought when I arrived into Amsterdam a week later at this lovely bookshop- incidentally the bookshop owner knew you! I carried that gorgeous book around with me on my 4 days exploring wonderful Amsterdam and fell in love with all that I found in your book and discovering hidden gems. On my walks I would often wonder where your houseboat was as it seemed such an idyllic lifestyle. Months later I bought my heart wanders and I sat on my couch and read it from cover to cover totally entranced. Funnily enough I realized that your house boat was just right near where we had stayed all along! Your work is so inspiring to so many people. All the best for your last months of pregnancy and for the joy of motherhood.
Jane

Hello from San Francisco. A very lucky day for me to chance upon your lovely site.Everything that delights me I found there.
Will be in Paris in April as a ” mother of a Paris Marathonienne”… Been many times but each time is always brand new. I took some notes of your delights to add to my own. There is never enough time for me.even when I stayed a year!Thank you for sharing such delicious information.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Having just had my 4th child after a 7 year break, I can sympathize with the feeling of complete shell shock! The beauty of having another baby after a big gap is that you know things change – sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad – but that in the scheme of things it goes so fast. Trust your instincts and enjoy the moment. Amelia

Today I went on line to order some books. One of your books was on my wish list…I don’t remember when it got there, or why…when I looked at it I knew I had to have it, so I order that and another one of your books. Can’t wait to take an imaginary trip with you to Paris–until I can make it for real some day.
