Yesterday I said I would show you my first origami crane, and here it is! When I say my first I mean my first ‘pretty’ one, there are of course a table full of not so perfect ones. Now that I know how to make them, I’m a little addicted. It’s rather meditative, and I find it’s a really nice way to take a little moment in the day to unwind. It’s certainly a day enhancing activity, that is for sure.

I made my origami crane from this photo featured in Paris: Made By Hand, which I printed onto recycled paper…

Yesterday I was walking along the street and I saw this beautiful dried, flat stem. It may have been run over, and it looks like its been walked over a few times too. I don’t know what it is about it, but I think it is so poetic.

It now lives on in my notebook.

on the menu tonight…

…white asparagus with french mayonnaise (my favourite). Followed by lumaconi pasta with creme fraiche, garlic and chanterelles. Finishing with strawberries and little melted chocolate pots for dipping.

It’s Monday night! I feel decadent.

Especially since I’m not the one doing the cooking.

miam.

PS I am very busy this week, and in the weeks to come, but I have so much I want to share with you so every spare moment I get I will be right here in the (blog)house with you! I have some exciting things to show & tell…

it’s friday already…

I took these photos just for you today. I hope you like them. My subjects may be dried up but they are still very beautiful, non? They also look pretty in a row…

PJB_bananasmoothie

one ripe banana
soy milk (sometimes I’m a soy gal)
scoop of plain yoghurt
a pinch of cinnamon
a dollop of honey

blend it. drink it. enjoy it.

xx

PS I nearly forgot to tell you that Yvette has something utterly scrumptious cooking in the (blog)house kitchen! In fact, it would go perfectly with the above banana smoothie. miam.
