It has been a beautiful few days here in Sydney, and French Boy has fallen head over heels for this part of the world. We have been spending our first week here just lazing about the water’s edge, gently sunning ourselves and dipping into the turquoise H20 to cool down every so often.
I know, it’s harsh isn’t it. I just hope you don’t hate me for this, especially those of you who are stuck in knee high snow at the moment. I snapped the photo above while in Avalon yesterday, after indulging in a rather scrumptious breakfast at The Starfish Cafe (French Boy had never before seen a breakfast menu with so many choices! And I forgot how wonderful it is to be able to ask for (and warmly receive) a loose leaf english breakfast tea with honey AND soy milk!)

Enjoy the rest of the festive season mes chers amis, I have a few new favourite photos that I will be posting over the coming weeks, and then I will recommence normal posting when i return to amsterdam, rejuvenated and bursting with inspiration, in late january. I’ve only been away for a few days and already my mind is alight with new ideas. Oh it’s going to be a wondrous year ahead. Can you feel it too?

Oh, Pia, I missed your blog anniversary, sorry. I’m having so much work these days that i can hardly blog.

congratulations Devi! you are a ‘lucky devi’, ha ha! It is such a beautiful piece, I’m very envious. There is lots of change in the air for lots of people at the moment – I think the best way to handle it is to embrace it – remember, change brings opportunity – a way of seeing things you never saw before. So chin up dear Devi, try to focus on the positive side of your mixed feelings. I will send lots of positive vibes along with the vase!

Oh I am so pleased your fella is enjoying our glorious Chrissie weather. Hasn’t it been hot? I’ve been gardening this morning (Sunday). I had to stop when I’d consumed almost two litres of water and was starting to feel a little light-headed from the heat. The suncream had also got too warm to reapply. I was going to head to the beach myself but once I’d sponged all the mud and dirt from my limbs I needed a little lie down. 2009? Eek. Not sure. Am waiting to hear whether the job losses gun is pointed in my direction. Well could be. One door closes, another opens hey? It’s good in theory but scary when there are so many people relying on that income. I love a new start, I love change and I love a challenge so I am feeling positive, if not a little apprehensive, about 2009. I can’t wait to hear more about all those ideas swimming about in your head.
