What Dreams May Come is a current exhibition of works by Australian artist Craig Waddell now on display at gallery 9 in Darlinghust, Sydney. Craig’s oils on canvas and linen are breathtaking…
…I particularly love the proteas (here). I found Craig’s work via artwhatson: “Waddell’s exhibition at gallery 9 is heavily influenced by his every day life – painting in his studio in the middle of a rose farm at Glenorie, Sydney and working at the flower markets. His luscious paintings depict the beauty, emotion and organic forms of nature and their seductive titles reflect the erotically charged love poems of Chilean writer Pablo Neruda.”
Stunning.
O dear – when you mention a beautifyl etsy shop, or a magazine with an interesting feature in it, I almost always end up buying something.
I can’t afford a painting like these.
I wish I could though.
Thank you

Such lovely work! Someone gave me a photograph of parrot tulips on vintage fabric with the same colour palette.

These are so mouthwatering and yummy (would you look at the texture of that oil paint!??!) I almost just got caught licking my laptop screen at work. Not to mention the Neruda swoon factor. Ohhh… this is my goodness for today.

“Breathtaking” and “stunning” indeed! Silly me saw the thickly painted flowers and thought, I want one… until I realized I probably can’t afford an artist who’s exhibiting at a museum. I can still admire though – merci for sharing!

I love how “painterly” these paintings are. Seeing brushstrokes just thrills me!
