…white asparagus with french mayonnaise (my favourite). Followed by lumaconi pasta with creme fraiche, garlic and chanterelles. Finishing with strawberries and little melted chocolate pots for dipping.
It’s Monday night! I feel decadent.
Especially since I’m not the one doing the cooking.
miam.

Oh I was just daydreaming about white asparagus! I have fromage blanc at home…perhaps I should throw that in with some pasta and at least approximate your wonderful feast?

Yummy! And to think that its a Monday night! Perhaps Mondays wouldn’t seem so bad if we always ate like this.

A perfect meal.

I’m so glad you are inspired by our impromptu monday night menu. We don’t usually have 3 courses I assure you, but our key ingredients (white aspargus, chanterelles and strawberries) deserved full attention as seperate dishes.
Amanda Nicole – I say French mayonnaise to differentiate between Dutch mayonnaise. French mayonnaise uses dijon mustard, and Dutch is kind of sweet (they eat it alot here with frites – and it’s delicious with frites but French mayo is still my favourite!)

Pia… for all your sweetness you possess a culinary cruelty beyond measure! OMG…this sounds SO delicious! Made that much better by being off the cooking brigade. Hope it was as lovely as it sounds. 🙂

At first glance the photo looked like ‘cheese strings’ and i was so relieved (and then completely envious) when i read on. Hope it was as delicious as i imagine.

This sounds so delicious, even more so because asparagus & strawberries are so very out of season for us at the moment. I’m very envious!
