thank you girls (and guy)! I was rather reluctant to share it but you are the best readers and always so very nurturing so i thought why not.
So this is what transpired from my friday afternoon of painting – I drew while looking at my face in the mirror. It’s pencil and watercolour – the cheeks are rosy because I’m ALWAYS blushing!
and on further analysis perhaps its my inner child as there are no wrinkles. Admittedly the mirror was far away so i couldn’t see any (yay!).
I had such fun on Friday afternoon and I can’t wait to grab some time to do this again.
i encourage you all to get out your paint and brushes on a rainy day!
xx
PS sorry for the lack of posts today, it’s been a busy start to the week and I’m exhausted. I’ll be nice and fresh tomorrow!
oh pia – so lovely! I had my first day painting for many eons a couple of weeks ago – it was such a treat! I’m so proud of what came out that I’ve kept the little paintings propped up… out of the corner of my eye I spy them and think, ‘gosh they’re quite nice, wonder who painted them?’ and then I remember I’m the artist! A nice surprise every day. thank you for sharing you’re work with us. xEmma

Such a good drawing… I find very hard to draw selfportraits. And this is also so delicate…
