…while I wait for the kettle to boil.
PS The fabric is by Maramiki – it is hand drawn then screenprinted onto cotton. I bought one of Maramiki’s remnant stashes a couple of months back and have been using them endlessly in my shoots. I will show + tell soon!
so simple and sooooo lovely. xo

heaven…

I was just recently trying to think of what I actually miss that I’ve had to give up since adopting a toddler. Nightlife…nope. Social life…not really. Dinners out…we still manage. I will have to put “doodling” into the column of things I’ve had to give up, though. You can’t just sit, make tea and doodle with a toddler on the loose behind you. However, all the usual “freedoms” that people complain of losing once they have children…I regret precious little. The “plus” column is so, so much fuller!

oh Maia, there will be a time when you can doodle again I am sure of it – when your baby girl is all grown up, you will be doodling again, waiting for the kettle to boil and wondering when she is going to call you (speaking of, I’m about to call my mum right now!)
thank you danielle and heather! It was a fun, I have a few more that I might show too.
xx
