…or Madrid. Can you tell I’m a little envious about everyone else’s snow? Well, I suppose I can find contentment with the fact the birds in my canal can walk on water…
PS Vic even got a snow day off work. Come on Amsterdam, don’t let me down.
Il va peut-Γͺtre neiger la semaine prochaine Γ Amsterdam, gardons espoir!

I wouldn’t get too excited about the snow in Paris last weekend – it was gone by the afternoon and then it was just cold! Plus birds that walk on water are so much cooler (is that for real???). x

well it’s for real in that there is a thin layer of ice underneath that the coot is walking on. But totally looks like they are walking on water! bummer about the snow not staying in Paris – I thought it would stick for sure.
Ana – don’t you find the darkness and cold would be a little more fun with a blanket of snow to play in?
Benedicte – I am going to take a look at your pics now! I’m so glad you like the Josh Pyke song! Thanks for letting me know.
Emma – poor mr. snowman π

WE have had some beautiful snow this winter in Denver…actually it has been the perfect mix. We seem to get a few days of heavy snow, followed by a slow melt, and then a few days of early-summer temperatures along with a lot of sunshine. Really, what could be better? It’s Denver’s best-kept secret, the climate.

I know the yearning for snow, it is quite intense for me.

So much about snow doesn’t show in photos… how it muffles sound, and brightens a dark night, the sparkle over a field of new snow, how some is light and fluffy and can’t be packed into snowmen. The fun of trying to figure out what walked through your backyard and left those prints…was it a rabbit, a deer, a dog, a cat, a mouse, a person. When it is really cold, the hairs in your nose freeze!
