i assumed the poppies were cut out since his other work is all cut, but now that i have had a closer look, i see what you mean marie, it certainly looks embossed! glad it has intrigued you enough to look at his work, there is plenty more to see. and sofia, your description of a countryside of poppies took my imagination straight there with you! hrsj, you have got me thinking about orange and purple as a colour combo for my work, hmmmm, beautiful.
