{"id":2798,"date":"2008-12-18T01:02:23","date_gmt":"2008-12-17T19:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/?p=2798"},"modified":"2008-12-18T01:02:23","modified_gmt":"2008-12-17T19:02:23","slug":"come-with-me-to-the-amsterdam-xmas-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/2008\/12\/18\/come-with-me-to-the-amsterdam-xmas-market\/","title":{"rendered":"come with me to: the amsterdam xmas market!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/pola1-pola05_11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/pola1-pola05_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"pola1-pola05_11\" width=\"500\" height=\"606\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2797\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/pola1-pola05_11.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/pola1-pola05_11-247x300.jpg 247w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last sunday I had the pleasure of visiting the amsterdam xmas market at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.westergasfabriek.nl\/home\/home.php\"target=\"_blank\">Cultuurpark Westergasfabriek<\/a> (which is like a big converted warehouse full of artist studios and a few lovely cafes) with my friend Danielle from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style-files.com\/\"target=\"_blank\">The Style Files<\/a> (btw, have you looked through Danielle&#8217;s archives lately? i just did as I needed to find the name of something and there is just <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style-files.com\/2008\/01\/16\/portable-cabin-by-atelierworkshop\/\"target=\"_blank\">so much<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style-files.com\/2008\/11\/27\/disposable-paper-products-by-wasara\/\"target=\"_blank\">inspiration<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style-files.com\/2008\/10\/30\/wooden-bowls-utensils-by-gary-allson\/\"target=\"_blank\">there<\/a>, somehow she manages to find the best <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style-files.com\/2008\/10\/22\/renovated-old-farm-in-france\/\"target=\"_blank\">interiors<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style-files.com\/2008\/10\/28\/alyssa-ettinger-ceramics\/\"target=\"_blank\">homewares<\/a>). There were some great stalls, and also these fabulous carollers you see above! <\/p>\n<p>While Danielle and I warmed up with the help of a cup of delicious gluwiijn (sweet spiced warm red wine), we wandered through the market and checked out the goodies. Amongst the selection were some real stand out stalls,  including one from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.proefamsterdam.nl\/\"target=\"_blank\">Proef <\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_4351-pola011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_4351-pola011.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"img_4351-pola011\" width=\"500\" height=\"608\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_4351-pola011.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_4351-pola011-246x300.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;(I bought some egg nog from them, it was delicious! and innovative), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwansson-lemberthe.com\/\"target=\"_blank\">Anna Iwansson <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/saveourseeds.wordpress.com\/\"target=\"_blank\">R\u00c3\u00a9gis Lemberthe<\/a> who specialise in sustainable design homewares,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mes.nl\/\"target=\"_blank\">Mes Textiles<\/a> (see below), and the gorgeous jewellery design of Miranda van Dijk called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.puuranders.nl\/home\/1\">Puur Anders<\/a>. Miranda&#8217;s pieces are quite something, take a look <a href=\"http:\/\/www.puuranders.nl\/album\/8\"target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. I was fascinated with her new material which is a thin soft shoe-string-like material that she carefully crochets into incredible necklaces and bracelets. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.puuranders.nl\/album\/8_235\"target=\"_blank\">Stunning<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/xmasmarket1-pola012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/xmasmarket1-pola012.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"xmasmarket1-pola012\" width=\"500\" height=\"608\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/xmasmarket1-pola012.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/xmasmarket1-pola012-246x300.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hmm, where shall we walk tomorrow?
