It is the same place in fact, that I took you to when I first started this blog at Christmas time last year, do you recall? (<a href=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/2007\/12\/24\/christmas-mini-trips-final-destination\/#more-168\"target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to see it back then in it&#8217;s wintry glory.) This time it was of course Autumn in this special place in the east of France, and all the leaves on the trees were turning magnificent shades of gold, orange and red. On my way there I saw a billboard by the forest that said&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>Plongez au coeur du po\u00c3\u00a9me vert&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Which means &#8220;Let your heart dive into a poem of green&#8221;. How beautiful. It was the perfect way to describe how I felt about this wonderful place (had this billboard read my mind?)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont141.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont141.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"pjb_belmont141\" width=\"500\" height=\"358\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont141.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont141-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found myself writing my own little simple poem&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I love these Autumn trees<br \/>\nwith their paper-thin golden leaves<br \/>\nthat flutter in the breeze&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I asked French Boy the names of the trees in the forest as we drove to our destination, and he rattled off the following names: <em>Le Ch\u00c3\u00aane<\/em> (oak), <em>Le H\u00c3\u00aatre<\/em> (beech), <em>Charme<\/em>, <em>Acacia<\/em>, <em>Charmille<\/em>, <em>Bouleau <\/em>(white birch) and <em>Peuplier<\/em>. It all sounds so much more magical <em>en fran\u00c3\u00a7ais<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"pjb_belmont2\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archives.piajanebijkerk.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/pjb_belmont2-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are many things I love in this area, but I especially love the farm houses  &#8211; Next week I will show you my brocante finds from the trip, and this weekend we are hosting a wine and cheese night to share our Jura specialities with friends.
