But let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not babble on but get straight to the goods we want to hear about: trends in home design. <\/p>\n

We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve seen a great shift in retail this past couple of years toward the handmade. And folks the good news is that it is only just the beginning – we haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even scratched the surface of what is to come. <\/p>\n

Most of us are already keen users of ebay and etsy, but it is still a rather new if not undiscovered territory for most. For those of you who are struggling with your sales do not fret! You are pioneers and pioneers need patience, so hang in there and keep creating. And for those who haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t yet taken the plunge, go for it for as moloko says, the TIME IS NOW<\/a><\/p>\n

So what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my word about 2008 trends?<\/p>\n

  • This year we are \u00e2\u20ac\u02dchunter gatherers’.<\/li>\n
  • \nWe will be seeing and creating some seriously sophisticated spaces that scream \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcdesign savvy world citizen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 <\/li>\n
  • \nWe will not longer be impressed by expensive spaces – the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcwow\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 factor will now come from talent, ingenuity, and individualistic style that breathes refinement and wisdom .<\/li>\n
  • We will emphasise service in our lives. <\/li>\n

    Celebrities are losing their connection with the public and the only reconnection will be by setting REAL examples, we will be \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcwowed\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 by their courage and efforts to give back \u00e2\u20ac\u201c not just as a passing fad to up their ratings, but genuine and lasting effort that bring forth positive CHANGE \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that will be the defining factor of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcstyle\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. <\/p>\n

    Our style for 2008 will be focussed around global warming, sustainability, and world issues whether we like, believe or care about it or not. It is not a trend that will shift in a year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time, it has deep roots and all trends will now blossom from these roots. It is an exciting time as \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcnewness\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 will arise from oldness. <\/p>\n

  • How do we gain more from a product then the one use we have been told it is for? Design<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • How do we truly engage in our home space, in our environment? Design<\/strong>. <\/li>\n
  • How can we incorporate the many rich cultures of today and yesterday into our daily lives to enhance our everyday? Through Design<\/strong>. <\/li>\n
  • How will we reduce our garbage? Through Design<\/strong>. <\/li>\n
