Lately I’m craving quiet spaces, quiet moments, quiet thoughts.
My brain has been spinning and buzzing all day, but a sense of calm washed over me as I looked through these images. Thanks for the moment of quiet, Pia!

That first photo filled me with a sense of calm – I’d like to lay back against the cushions on that window seat, with the blooms above me, a book in one hand a glass of wine in the other…. bliss. I am sure sitting by the water’s edge as the sun goes down in Amsterdam is a good place for you right now Pia.

thank you so much for the link to field and sea – did you see the concert poster with the empty sheet music leaf and the egg? i loved it so much i had to blog it instantly; it suited a piano teacher on holiday perfectly =)
i hope you too are getting the quietness you’re craving!

can relate completly; after spending time at Palm beach staring at the beautiful blue ocean, a vista to behold, I am calm and happy, ready to re-enter the urban grey unknown.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that all these photographers and bloggers from the Pacific Northwest share that calmness and love of nature. It makes me homesick…in a good way 🙂

Dear Pia,
Thanks for this lovely post and this lovely blog. I have been following along for a while now just lurking but thought it was time that I said thanks for all of the serene and beautiful moments that you provide. I haven’t got my copy of the book yet but it looks fabulous. I wish you all the best with it. I look forward to my continued visits to the blog house.
Cheers,
Suzanne

Well hows that, I just posted one of Valentin Loellmann’s clay lampshades on my “Friday Favorites” sourced from the “Bloesem” post. The house really is so beautiful.
