I couldn’t help but post this beauty which I found over the weekend while perusing the Marie Claire Maison website. This home is located in the Seychelles and has been restored using local artisans.

This is quite spectacular. i really like that huge Armoire and the elaborate and dramtic style which seems to work with the simple and airy island atmosphere.

Those chairs, in the first one, are a great dream of mine. Someday, on an open patio, with curtains billowing in the breeze…

Pia I didn’t think there could be anywhere more lovely than this blog, until that is I clicked on your houseboat. The pictures are so wonderful I just had to blog about them. I especially loved the wallpaper, it all looked so romantic.

Really beautiful! I’m prone to a bit of wanderlust too (my brand new blog is evidence of that…). I’m always amazed by the beautiful use of wood in island homes–they have a different relationship to it as a building material.
Lovely.
