This postcard is over a hundred years old. It’s from postaltrice’s very aweseome vintage postcard collection. I would have liked to have been in Paris last weekend when it was snowing, it would have been so much fun to walk the snowy streets with camera in hand…
What a wonderful shot! So dynamic. I posted a similar vintage shot from Trafalgar Square over the holidays. There is nothing like snow in a place where it rarely snows…people lose all sense of decorum, in the best of ways!

I was in Paris at the weekend. I am just sorting out my photos now. It didn’t snow until late on Sunday night

I adore the idea of walking about my streets with camera in hand. The light on my morning run has been glorious. I think next weekend, not this one – I’m away – I’ll do just that. Instead of run, I’ll walk. Camera in hand.

Isn’t it wonderful that, in the very best ways, people never change? when we humans can have fun we do.

Oh the eternal joy of a snowball fight!

Hello Pia!
We are very happy that you liked our postcard collection and specifically this picture, it was a thrill to see it on your blog! It’s also one of our favourites and the only snowball fight on a vintage postcard that we know of. I wonder if those boys, when older, recalled with satisfaction the happy white winter of 1905 in Montmartre.
Kind regards from Spain for you and your readers,
Ana and Esteban (postaletrice)

An amazing vintage postcard! My father was stationed in France when I was born – would love to visit there once again. 🙂
