oh my. I love this little house. Look at the detail…

It’s an architect’s model from the early 1930’s. I found it on the glorious website of Galerie Half (found via brydie brown – one of my current ‘blogs in the spotlight’ in the side bar). Looks like Galerie Half is located in Los Angeles – I can only imagine how gorgeous the store is if their website of wares is this divine. And as if the above house wasn’t already enough to make us weak at the knees, take a look at this one…

    “united states 1800’S
a massive american dollhouse in it’s original condition. owned at one point by a little girl named ‘nancy allen’.”

    Very sweetly inspirational.
    Thank you.

    You’re very welcome!
It was hard to find (I got lucky somehow), and I thought maybe that was why you didn’t have it posted. Glad it was helpful.

Oh the detail, I swoon, the world reduced down in scale is oh so remarkable. The workman/woman-ship is astounding…and that is what makes it beautiful I think.

I love that doll house. I remember mine as a little girl, many hours were spent in front of that…talking to my dolls (and myself!)…creating a magical world.

Hi Pia, I adore it too and the second one. This is so weird though as last night I was looking at what Tarlo and Graham had on their site and look what I also fell in love with: http://www.tarloandgraham.com.au/object.html. They’re always out of my price range but I adore their eye. Pruxxx
