drawing water circles + the week ahead…
Posted in (blog)house news, pia's photos July 27th, 2009 by piablog

It’s monday! And I’m already weary. But that would have something to do with the crazy week I just had, and the even crazier one I have ahead. Oh, and also the (but not the) flu I’ve been pretending I don’t have.

While I’m busy working on some ridiculously exciting things at the moment, there are also some ridiculously exciting things to come here in the (blog)house this week… including the arrival of our next guest!! Who will be here any minute. Oh, I’m excited.

Meanwhile, let’s draw water circles while we wait…

Just looking at these images gives me an incredible sense of serenity. I would love to be able to capture what you capture in photographs. I saw the Julius Shulman documentary (Visual Acoustic) on the weekend and towards the end of it, he said: “the camera is the least important element in photography”. I thought that was fascinating!

I do love when people say that – about the camera being the least important element of photography.

Thank you so much Jo, I hope you are able to get some sleep and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed your little bout of insomnia by reading blogs and drinking tea.

Sleep tight, and enjoy the stars!

Oh, you’ve got the flu again? Poor you =( Well, if you haven’t got THAT flu, your immune system will be ready to withstand THE flu!
The rings in the water remind me of old-fashioned Italian windows – the kind that consist of many small round glass “panes” put together. Oh, it’s difficult to describe, but you know the ones I mean, I hope. I’ve photographed them, but they’re much easier since they don’t move! You’ve even managed to capture the rebounding drops of water…
Happy recovery, get well really soon!

I love storms and rain. And your pictures are so beautiful (every)… they can take me to that special moment.
