Grab your hat and favourite book. Roll up your jeans and come sit down next to me on the sand. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and listen. Enjoy…

I’m full of anticipation. This winter, first time to Oz. Before the kids go to school and summer vacations are in summer. We’ll be visiting a dear friend and her family. It will be so lovely to see them again. Australia is truly far away.

Funny though, how I – a Dutchie, get the same feeling standing at “my” North Sea shore windy and grey as it is. So different but so alike at the same time.

Oh I’m so glad you have enjoyed this one!

For new readers, I hope you realise you can press the play button to hear the sound of the water (yes I’m talkin’ to you, cuz!).

Did anyone hear the distant screech of a cockatoo? The wind picks up and the waves roll in faster toward the end as a small speed boat past through moments earlier.

    xx

PS next up we will find out what it sounds like on the other side of the peninsula – from bayside to beachside…
